Bringing Joy to Everyday Play with Manhattan Toys
“Enjoy these moments! They grow so fast!” “Stop what you’re doing and play with him! He’ll be off to college before you know!” “The laundry (or dishes, or cleaning) can wait! But this moment with your child can’t!” I hear and read these statements (or statements very similar to them) all the time. And whether someone else is reminding me or I’m reminding myself, I feel the urgency of these statements so, so much right now!
My little man is starting kindergarten this fall, and I’ve noticed so many changes lately! It might be cliche, but he really does grow and change EVERY day! I also know that, with school starting in just a few short months, I’ll soon be spending a lot of hours alone every day while my little boy is gone. All-day kindergarten means he’ll be gone around SIX!?!?! hours a day, so I’m trying to enjoy every little moment and spend as much time with him as I can.
But on the other hand, sometimes a Mom just has to take a shower. Or make a phone call. Or do some laundry. Am I right? Most of the time, I really try to include him in as many of the little everyday, household chores as I can. Because, you know…he lives in this house, too. And he’s old enough to help out a bit. But sometimes, his “help” just wouldn’t be that helpful, so I need something for my little man to do while I cross a few things off my to-do list. Of course, we all know the most reliable, free babysitter is cartoons, but I’m trying really, really hard to limit the amount of time he spends “plugged in.” So I LOVE when we find a really great toy that helps him use his imagination and enjoy playtime!
These new designs from Manhattan Toy Company are so cute! I love the attention-to-detail and the wide variety of lovable designs! There truly is something for every child and so many cute toys that definitely meet Manhattan Toy Company’s goal to bring joy to your child’s everyday play! I love that they have so many different toys, everything from this cute Cactus Garden Travel Rattle to the equally cute Tiger Musical Activity Toy!
And how many hours can your little one spend playing with a cute car? I know my little boy has spent hours and worn out the knees on many pairs of pants pushing cars around our floors! These adorable Soft Bodies Toy Firetruck and Soft Bodies Toy SUV would be great for little boys and girls of any age! With soft bodies and plastic wheels, each car features a Velcro-like strip on the front and back of every vehicle so they can easily link together. How fun is that?
I know I’ve probably said it a million times, but every little kid needs a special stuffed animal! My little boy has several special friends, and they really are so much more than just a toy. They are his friends. I know he’s not the only one because I know so many adults who still have special stuffed animal friends from their childhood! I even know one person who still sleeps with hers! And when our son was in the hospital last week because he was so dehydrated from a nasty stomach bug, he was so happy when one of the nurses gave him a new stuffed puppy to cuddle with! It was such a frightening experience for him to be in the hospital late at night and have an IV in his arm. But that cute, stuffed animal (and lots of hugs from Mommy and Daddy) made it just a little bit easier. Check out these four cute, new stuffed animals from Manhattan Toy Company.
Manhattan Toy Company recognizes that our children are profoundly influenced by the toys they play with and know the most important toy your child will ever play with is their imagination. Each of these cute, new products definitely achieves the goal of bringing joy to everyday play! So if your little one needs a special new toy to play with, check out one of these new products (or one of their other products we carry) from Manhattan Toy Company.
