Stuffy Noses? We've Got You Covered

Stuffy Noses? We've Got You Covered

Although Utah and many other places have been enjoying an unseasonably warm fall and winter, that doesn't mean you won't have an abundance of stuffy noses this holiday season. Kids are called "snot-nosed" for a reason, because there's plenty more where that came from. But babies don't know how to blow their noses, so what's the solution? The Nose Frida.

The Nose Frida is one of those little baby gadgets I just can't live without, whether I'm at home or traveling. I was gifted one with the birth of my first child, and I still mark it as one of the most useful things I got at any baby shower! Why? Because it helps your children breathe free and easy, no matter how stuffy their little nose might be!

The Nose Frida

The Nose Frida Nasal Aspirator is made by the company Fridababy, which makes several health and wellness products for children. All of their products use simple technology and brilliant design for practical items that help parents daily. Their products (including the Nose Frida) are lightweight, easy to use, and even easier to clean!

How to Use the Nose Frida

Simply attach the tube to your child's nostril to form a seal, then suck the boogers out using the attached mouthpiece. Don't be grossed out about "sucking boogers," it's actually very hygienic! Here's a video to watch for the perfect tutorial:

The Nose Frida has a special filter inside that prevents germs and snot from getting into the tubing and mouthpiece you use to suck with. As long as you change the filter often, and clean the Nose Frida with soap and water, you're good to go for the next time, and the next (which, during the winter, probably means in a couple hours)!

Treats Boogers of All Kinds

This little lifesaver is perfect for treating your typical childhood colds and other respiratory illnesses that create an overabundance of nasal mucus. Allergies? Christmas cold? Some other form of booger-causing illness? The Nose Frida works for all of the above.

Every parent knows that kids don't sleep well when they can't breathe well, and we all know that's trouble with a capital T. That is, unless you use the trusty little Nose Frida frequently.

If your child has some particularly dense or stubborn boogies, use an over-the-counter saline mist or a few saline drops to loosen the mucus before sucking it out. It's as simple as that.

Add it to Your Holiday Wishlist (or Packing List)

If you don't have a Nose Frida yet, add it to your holiday wishlist. It's an inexpensive price to pay to help baby breathe better and keep those pesky boogers out of the way for more holiday fun.

So snot...see ya!
