Sometime between my first and second babies, Covered Goods Multi-Use Nursing Covers became an incredibly hot item for baby care. So much so that within a few days of finding out I was pregnant with my second, I sat down and made a list of things I wanted or needed for baby number two. Want to know the very first thing on my list? This Covered Goods nursing cover.
My very favorite part about this cover is the full 360-degree coverage. It’s a whole new breastfeeding world with this cover because all of my public nursing woes are gone. Other nursing covers I’ve used are hit-and-miss when it comes to the coverage they’ll provide. In a perfect world, my baby would lay peacefully and eat until she was done eating. But in reality, she moves all over the place, sits up at any noise, and occasionally gets milk down the wrong tube and needs to take a coughing break. So not only is my backside covered while half of my shirt is lifted up, my entire front side is covered too, wiggly baby and all.
This cloth is stretchy and clings to both my baby and I. The majority of the time this is a great thing, because it keeps us secure and covered, though I will say it’s made for a hot summer. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down a tad so I can return to using this cover more.
Another way I commonly use this is as a car seat cover. I love having my baby girl covered; especially in public when uninvited hands find their way to my baby girl. When the cover is on, it tends to let others know that now is not the time to come say hi to my smiley babe.
I have yet to try this for the shopping cart, since my baby can’t sit up on her own yet, but I’m very excited to give it a try in another month or so! I have, however, used this as a blanket to wrap her in, used it as a cover to change my shirt in public, as a scarf, a burp cloth, and more. I’ve washed this multiple times right along with my other laundry, and it is still in pristine condition!
