The more I research and get to know Maxi-Cosi, the more impressed I become. In fact, I’m kind of kicking myself for not looking into them more each time I’ve been on a car seat hunt. Because these car seats have some major gold-striking qualities.

Hands down, my favorite feature about Maxi-Cosi (and a feature I didn’t know to look for, years ago when I was a first-time car seat buyer) is the weight. These things are light. SO LIGHT. This is coming from a mom who flies a lot and is accustomed to hauling car seats through airports every few months. So when I see the product weight on these Maxi-Cosi car seats, I’m so envious of the moms carrying these through airports, not my heavy ones. For a brand that doesn’t sell itself on its lightness, I’m really impressed with their lightweight products.
Because these are so light, one may assume they’re stuffy or small or cramped. But that is so far from the truth. A lot of the newer car seats are adapting and now have larger height and weight limits, but Maxi-Cosi has gone above and beyond. Not only are their height and weight limits generally larger than other car seats, they continue to weigh less as well. Pretty darn impressive.

Okay all of that is well and good, but what about safety? If you look up ‘car seat safety’ or ‘safest car seats on the market’ or something else of the sort on the internet, you’ll likely be given several lists of what are deemed the safest car seats. Do you know who makes these lists almost every time?
Maxi-Cosi. Maxi-Cosi’s slogan has got to be one of my all-time favorites: "We carry the future." It’s bold, it’s true, and it leaves a deep impression. This reputable company, who has been around since 1984, has accomplished a lot and their ever-improving products, as well as their slogan, are winning the hearts of parents all over the globe.
Here’s the deal. Because it’s name brand (and a widely popular brand at that) you’re going to be paying a little bit more. BUT compared to other name brand car seats, you certainly wont be breaking the bank with a purchase of one of these products. And you’re getting a whole lot of bang for your buck.
