3 Last "Only Two" Dates

3 Last "Only Two" Dates

When you're anticipating a new addition to the family, it's really easy to let your relationship take a back seat. We all know it's important to make time for yourself and your partner before baby arrives, but when you're swollen and tired that's much easier said than done. Well if you're in need of some romance (pretty sure we all are) here are just a few date ideas to make some memories with just the two of you!

S'mores and Stars

When you're trying to have a romantic date night, look no further than your own yard. Lay our blankets and pillows out in your yard (or set some chairs out on the porch) and light some candles. If you have a grill, get some fixes for s'mores and roast some marshmallows under the stars. You can turn on some music, cuddle, and take time to talk. This is a great time to talk about things that you may be nervous about once baby comes, in a comfortable setting. And the best part? The bedroom is only a few feet away.

Create Memories

When you're in the mood for something a little more creative, here's a cute date idea that is full of fun! Get to your local pottery studio, pick out a gift for your spouse, and paint away. Even if you aren't very artsy, this is such a fun way to make some memories of when it was just a family of two that you can use once baby shows up! Let yourself laugh, and don't be afraid to mess up. Trust me this will be a great exercise in parenting (you'll pretty much feel like you have no idea what you're doing the majority of the time). It would be fun to do some mugs for each other for those late nights when you're staying up with baby, or even a vase that's perfect for spur of the moment flowers!

Throwback

It's always fun to reminisce on when the two of you first met. Try your best to recreate that date! Go back to the restaurant where you first ate, order the same meal, and try your best to sit at the same table. It'll be one of the last times you get the chance to be a "table for two" and will help you remember how far you and your spouse have come since the beginning. You could try renting the first movie the two of you watched together. Or even stay in, cook dinner, and dance to the song that played at your wedding. Whatever way you choose to reminisce, this is the perfect time to let your partner know how much you love them. Past, present, and future!

Try your best to be adventurous and spontaneous when you're planning your last only two dates! Also do your best to focus on your relationship with each other during your dates, instead of talking about baby. Trust me, you'll have plenty of that after delivery! For now just enjoy the time when you're still a pair, and make some memories that will last forever!
