When you're shopping for a new diaper bag, what do you look for? What features are most important to you? Do you want a diaper bag that is compact? Or a diaper bag that has the capacity to hold anything and everything you might need for your little one? Do you want a diaper bag that you can take on day hikes? Or do you want a diaper bag better suited for a day-trip to the city? Are you willing to spend any amount of money in order to get the perfect bag? Or are you hoping to find a diaper bag that has some nice features but, most importantly, is within your budget?
There are so many important questions to ask yourself before buying a new diaper bag because you'll probably take this bag with you
everywhere you go for the next few months or years. I think the most important things to think about before purchasing a new diaper bag are the design, the organization, the carrying options, the price, and the special features specific to each bag. The Lassig Goldie and
Babymel George are both amazing diaper bags! They're both so cute and have tons of nice features, so let's look a little closer at each one to see if either one is the perfect bag for you, your baby, and your lifestyle.
Lassig Goldie Diaper Bag
Design
The Lassig Goldie diaper bag is available in three colors (rose, mint, and anthracite) and is made of 100% polyester. It is larger than many of the diaper bags on the market (11.81 inches long x 6.69 inches wide x 14.17 inches high), but because of the lightweight material it only weighs 2.73 pounds.

Organization
The Lassig Goldie diaper bag has a pocket on the front with a half zipper, and a larger pocket above to hold your cell phone and keys (detachable keychain fob included). On the sides, there are two bottle pockets that are large enough to hold your own water bottle or your baby’s bottle. And on the back, there is a padded tech pocket that is large enough for a laptop but can also be used for easy and quick access to diapers and wipes. On the inside, you’ll also find two envelope pockets, a large zipper pocket, and a changing pad pocket.

The Babymel George diaper bag has a spacious main internal compartment and a large padded tech pocket large enough for a 13-inch laptop. It also has two interior insulated and elasticized bottle pockets that will keep your bottles hot or cold for four to six hours and two additional elasticized pockets that would be perfect for snacks, diapers, and more. On the outside, it has a large zippered front pocket with two smaller elasticized pockets that would be perfect for diapers as well as a side bottle pocket that can easily fit standard-sized bottles and some of the larger bottles on the market (like the Comotomo bottle). The Lassig Goldie diaper bag has multiple carrying options. It can be carried as a backpack with the attached backpack straps (they can be tucked in the exterior tech pocket when you're not using them), as a messenger bag or cross-body with the messenger strap, and a handheld bag with the small handle on the top. The Babymel George diaper bag has a quick-grab handle on the top of the bag, so you can easily grab it and go. And it can also be worn as a backpack, and the back straps are adjustable and padded, making it comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.

Favorite Features
I love that the Lassig Goldie diaper bag can be carried multiple ways (backpack, messenger, cross-body, handheld) and includes stroller clips, a small pouch, a water-resistant changing pad, a removable snack pouch, and an insulated bottle carrier. It is also unique because Lassig diaper bags are made from recycled material and are actually recyclable themselves. They’re also free of PVC, nickel, lead, BPAs, phthalates, and azo dyes that are known to be harmful to children. I love that the fabric on the interior and exterior of the Babymel George diaper bag is a lightweight, water-resistant, wipe-clean polyester. It has
tons of pockets, making it easy to stay organized, and I especially love the hidden-security pocket on the back of the bag and the super convenient built-in easy-wipes side pocket. It's also really nice that the backpack straps have stroller clips, so you don't have to purchase or attach any additional accessories.
Both of these diaper bags are great options if you're searching for a new diaper bag. The Lassig Goldie diaper bag is absolutely gorgeous, eco-friendly has several carrying options, tons of organization, and lots of accessories. The Babymel George diaper bag is neutral, lightweight, budget-friendly, and has a lot of helpful features. No matter which one you choose, you're sure to love your new diaper bag!
