Infant Bassinet

In addition, the VISTA V2 bassinet exceeds all current ASTM standards to allow you to use it as an overnight bassinet! (The bassinet has a weight capacity of 20 pounds or until your baby starts rolling or pushing up onto his hands or knees.)

Toddler Seat vs. RumbleSeat

When you're ready to transition your VISTA V2 into a double stroller, there are a handful of seat configurations you can test out! One of the most common combos is the toddler seat and the RumbleSeat! The toddler seat already comes with your VISTA V2 purchase. The RumbleSeat, on the other hand, can be purchased separately or you can get it with the VISTA V2 bundle! Although it appears these seats can be used interchangeably, there are important differences to note.

The toddler seat has a weight capacity of 50 pounds while the RumbleSeat has a 35 pound weight capacity. The RumbleSeat comes with RumbleSeat adapters, a bumper bar and bug shield. It also has a no-rethread harness, 3 height positions, and an extra large canopy just like the toddler seat.

It's important to note that the toddler seat must be used in the upper position and the RumbleSeat must be used in the lower position. This is to allow better weight distribution, giving the stroller a smoother, easier push.

VISTA V2 Configurations: Single, Double, and Beyond!

One of the most common reasons for purchasing the UPPAbaby VISTA V2 is its potential to adapt and grow just as your family does! When having your first baby, the VISTA V2 can be used as a traditional single stroller. But with its modular design AND it's ability to transform into a double, it becomes much more than the basic stroller you're used to seeing on the market!

Let's explore all the possibilities, both straight out of the box and with additional accessories and adapters, that the VISTA V2 has to offer!

Single Stroller Configurations (Out of the Box)

• Toddler Seat (Rear or Forward Facing) & Bassinet Mode

These configurations can be done straight out of the box without ANY additional car seat, adapter or accessory purchases.

 

Single Stroller Configurations (with Additional Purchases)

• MESA Series Car Seat

No additional adapters needed, but you will have to purchase the MESA car seat separately. (The MESA, MESA V2 and MESA Max are all compatible without additional adapters).

• Other Infant Car Seat

The VISTA V2 is compatible with Chicco, Clek, Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, and Nuna infant car seats with their respective adapters.

Toddler Seat Double Stroller Configurations

• Toddler Seat and Bassinet

Upper and lower adapters are needed for this and must be purchased separately, but the toddler seat and bassinet come with every VISTA V2 purchase!

• Toddler Seat and Infant Car Seats

For this configuration, an infant car seat and upper and lower adapters are required (all sold separately). An additional car seat adapter is required if using a non-UPPAbaby car seat.

RumbleSeat Double Stroller Configurations

In order to attach the RumbleSeat, you will need to click the RumbleSeat adapters into the lower position on your stroller before attaching the seat. These come with your purchase so you will not need to buy them separately. *Note: the RumbleSeat should always be in the lower position.

• RumbleSeat and Toddler Seat

The RumbleSeat adapter is required for this configuration (comes with purchase). Upper adapters not required, but they are recommended for better spacing.

• RumbleSeat and MESA Series Infant Car Seat

MESA infant car seat and upper adapters are required for this configuration. The upper adapters are used with the MESA in order to raise it up enough to fit the RumbleSeat.

• RumbleSeat and (non-UPPAbaby) Infant Car Seat

For this configuration, you'll need the infant car seat with its own adapters and the UPPAbaby upper adapters for the infant seat to raise it up enough to fit with the RumbleSeat.

Additional Double Stroller Configurations

The following configurations are ideal for twins rather than those that need a double stroller for a baby and an older child.

• Dual Infant Car Seats

You must purchase infant car seats and adapters (upper and lower) separately for these configurations.

• Dual Bassinets

For this configuration, you must purchase an additional bassinet plus upper and lower adapters.

• Bassinet and Infant Car Seat

Upper and lower adapters are needed for this configuration. An additional car seat adapter is also needed if you're using a non-UPPAbaby brand infant car seat.

Triple Stroller Configurations

As if the VISTA V2 wasn't incredible enough, combine ANY of the above configurations with the PiggyBack Board for a stroller that can tote 3 at once!

The PiggyBack board can carry kiddos up to 55 pounds and even lifts up and out of the way when you're not using it! This is perfect for those kids that want to get up and explore often, but also love to ride along when they don't want to walk.

Configuration FAQ's:

Can I use the toddler seat in the lower position?

No, the toddler seat can only be used in the upper position and the RumbleSeat can only be used in the lower position. This is to ensure proper weight distribution. So if you're adding a new baby to your fam and you prefer your baby to be closer to you, you'll want to purchase the RumbleSeat so that your toddler can be out front.

Can I use an infant bassinet in the top position?

Yes, but only when using two bassinets at the same time. Otherwise, the bassinet needs to be placed in the lower position. The bassinet cannot be used in the upper position when the RumbleSeat is in the lower position due to space constraints.

Are there any double stroller configurations I can do right out of the box without any additional adapters or accessory purchases?

 All double stroller configurations will require an additional purchase of either an infant car seat, a RumbleSeat, or adapters.

The closest you can get to double stroller configuration right out of the box is with the bassinet in lower position and the toddler seat in the upper position. However, you will need the upper and lower adapters to click the bassinet into place and to give the toddler seat enough space.

For all the other double stroller configurations, you will need to purchase the RumbleSeat, an infant car seat, or another bassinet as well as additional adapters.

Why are there so many different adapters?

UPPAbaby wants to make sure you can create any configuration or combination you dream of (even if you go with an infant car seat of another brand). That is why they offer so many different infant car seat adapters.

The VISTA V2 also requires upper or lower adapters in many configurations to create enough space between the upper and lower positions for multiple seats/bassinets to fit. Due to the front-to-back design of the stroller, there is not a lot of space to put two full seats/bassinets/car seats without the usage of adapters.
