When it comes to decorating a nursery, one of the hardest things to work around is the seemingly essential baby accessories and toys that don't necessarily add to the decor. Mamas, you know what I'm talking about...the bright-colored bouncers, swings, jumpers, activity centers, play mats, and the list goes on... These things may not be essential to keeping your baby alive, but they are most definitely essential to keeping both of you happy because they entertain your child and give you just a few moments of rest.
We know the cute, brightly-colored patterns are good for our baby's development, but they often don't work with your nursery decor. Not to mention your living room decor. I know I'm not the only mom who doesn't love the way traditional baby toys coordinate with my decor. That's why I'm so excited to announce a new Baby Cubby product, circular play mats from Grounded Company.
Grounded Company was founded by a mom who felt exactly the way I do! After her son was born, grounded founder Lindsey Smart wanted a play mat that she and her son would love; "a mat that was comfortable, versatile and pretty enough to be left out." Since she couldn't find the perfect play mat, Lindsey decided to make a play mat that would meet all of those needs. Something that adds to the nursery and home decor, instead of detracting, making baby AND mama happy.
The three cute prints feature hand-painted modern designs that won't have you scrambling to put away baby toys before guests arrive.

I love the design of these play mats and could see them fitting into the decor of any room! But I also love that Lindsey refused to sacrifice comfort and quality for her little one. These 38 x 38 circular play mats are made with soft padding, and they are reversible, with one side made of a soft polyester and the other made of vegan leather. The soft, polyester side can be used as a play mat for your tiny baby, keeping them safe from germs. And the vegan leather side is easy to wipe clean, so you can use that side to protect your house from your little one's mess. You can even place it under your child's high chair to catch the food that inevitably falls while they're learning to eat. Spot cleaning is recommended for small messes, but when bigger messes inevitably happen, the play mat can also be machine-washed and air-dried.
