New Sakura Bloom Slings

New Sakura Bloom Slings

Have you heard of Sakura Bloom baby slings? They are a durable and fashionable sling made in the United States with all natural fibers, and we absolutely love them here at Baby Cubby! In fact, we love them so much that we are bringing in a handful of new colors. Want to see them?!

Sakura's basic collection is made of fine Belgian linen. It is spun strong, hand dyed, and then crafted right in San Diego! Our three new additions are Camel, Flax, and Sterling. Aren't they so beautiful with that gold ring?

Sakura also has a bamboo line! Bamboo is more lightweight and breathable, but does not lack in strength and durability. These slings are woven into a beautiful and classic herringbone pattern, and the cherry on top is that bamboo is a sustainable resource! Our two new bamboo colors are Birch and Fawn.

Of course these slings are functional because they free your hands, but baby wearing has also been proven to be extremely helpful in combating Postpartum Depression and other Postpartum mood disorders! Studies have proven that wearing baby allows a mother dealing with PPD or PPA (anxiety) to better calm themselves and have a good grip on their situation because baby is close, and they are sure nothing is happening to them. Of course, being close more often allows a bond to form more easily.

Research has also shown that a baby that is worn often grows up to be more independent and self sure. Why is that? Well, being close to mom in the beginning allows baby to feel more calm and in control of emotions. That then translates to feeling more secure and able to separate emotion as they grow up. Isn't that great?!

With evidence like that, and beautiful slings like the Sakura Bloom, do you need much else to convince you to baby wear?! Baby wearing was a wonderful option for me with my daughter to help me combat my baby blues, so if you might be experiencing some odd feelings after birth, I highly recommend you give baby wearing a try!
