If you follow our blog you have probably heard about the amazing new product that Owlet has come up with but if you haven't you can read all about it here. When new products that are as sophisticated as this baby heart monitor come on the market there are bound to be a lot of questions! Today I'm here to tackle some of those frequently asked questions with you!

Can I use the Owlet with an Android device? Yes, you can use the Owlet monitor if you have an Android device; however, you will not be able to take advantage of the app just yet. An Android version of the app will be available later this year (hopefully around June!). You will be alerted if there is an emergency on the base station.

Can I use this device with twins? Yes, If you have twins you will need to buy two devices. You can take advantage of the app if you have two iOS devices. Each device will be connected to it's own base station and will alert you accordingly.

Is the Owlet Baby Vitals Monitor a medical device? No, this device is only to help aid you in detecting an issue, it is not a lifesaving device or to be used for diagnosing.

Does Owlet guarantee the safety of my baby? No. The Owlet Baby Monitor is meant to help you and your pediatrician be aware of possible indicators of danger, but your baby's safety is your responsibility.

Can the Owlet fit under footie pajamas? Yes! The Owlet Smart Sock is low profile and will even fit under other socks.

Is there a warranty? Yes. If the monitor ceases to work within one year of regular use, you can send it in for a new one. We and Owlet are not responsible for household damage to the product.

Does Owlet have a satisfaction guarantee? Owlet offers a 100 day satisfaction, return for any reason, guarantee. Just email Owlet and they will give you a full refund, no questions asked.

Will the radio waves from the device harm my baby? No. The Smart Sock uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate to your phone and Base Station. The radio waves generated from the device are more than twenty times below that of the cell phones

Is it washable? The Sock itself can be washed. Just make sure you pull out the Sock Electronics before washing!

What comes in the box? You will receive the base station, sock electronics, three sock sizes to fit your child up to 18 months, a paper manual, and charging cords.

Top 10 Picks For Your Baby Registry

I’m thinking of purchasing this product but I have a few questions I cannot fine, so when baby goes to her grandparents house on nights I have to work is the base station easy to take there or are stuff to program? Or do we just unplug it from our house take to there’s plug in and everything is set up to alert them and our phones still?? Thanks

Kasey

Hi, Kasey! Great questions! So as far as the base station goes it should easily unplug and move to grandma’s and grandpa’s house. When you get there you can just plug it back in and it should work right away. As for the app, we believe you should just have to have your parents download the app onto their phone so they can get the alerts. However, make sure to tell them that the base station will always be the primary alert device, with the phone being secondary so they should put the base station where they will be able to hear it best.
