Take a look at the Britax Advocate convertible car seat in action! It's incredibly easy to install and buckle your child in.
The main thing that sets the Advocate apart from its sister car sear (the Boulevard) is that it's got slightly beefier Side Impact Protection—three layers instead of just two. Your child's safety is guaranteed!
As you can see in our video below, we installed the Advocate in both rear-facing and forward-facing modes with two different kids. It’s important to note that the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that all infants and toddlers ride in a rear-facing car seat until they are 2 years of age, or until they reach the highest weight or height allowed by their car seat manufacturer. It’s much safer for your child to use this practice! For the Britax Advocate, the maximum weight limit in rear-facing mode is 40 pounds.
Once that weight limit is reached, you can easily flip the Boulevard around and install it using the seatbelt through the forward-facing belt path. Don’t forget to attach the handy V-tether on the back! Its 7-position adjustable recline and five-point harness assure your child’s comfort. As your child grows, just use one hand to raise the headrest and harness height! As a note, you can also install with car seat with the LATCH system, but there are weight limits if you use that method. Britax has created the Advocate in a way that makes the seatbelt installation the more optimal choice.
