Unboxing your stroller
The Bugaboo Donkey 5 Mono Complete Stroller comes ready to use from the day you bring your baby home from the hospital! When you receive your stroller, you will find the stroller hardware, the seat fabric, the bassinet fabric, side luggage basket, canopy, rain cover and the underseat basket. Other accessories can be purchased separately to customize your stroller even further, but the complete set includes everything you will need to use the stroller comfortably for one child.
Bassinet
The bassinet portion of the stroller is ideal for newborns up to 20 pounds. With the Donkey 5, you will get an updated bassinet design. The side panels can be effortlessly folded up, allowing for greater ventilation or to simply allow your baby to observe the world. In addition, the bassinet apron has an improved fit, which allows you to access your baby more easily. When using the bassinet portion of the stroller, you will find an added pocket on the backside, providing you a convenient place to store baby necessities, your phone, or keys.
Seat Attachment
Each of the Donkey 5 seats can hold up to 50 pounds. These seats have also been updated to include a quick click harness and soft shoulder pads, making it easier to buckle your child for the ride. The straps are easy to adjust to varying heights as your child grows.

The seat and side basket can be positioned higher than before, allowing you to be closer to your baby while keeping all your necessities close to you. Unlike some side by side strollers, the Donkey 5 easily fits through most standard doorways.
Modes
Depending on your family’s needs, the Donkey 5 can be transformed into 3 convenient modes. For new parents, the stroller converts into mono mode. This can be used with the bassinet or seat attachment, with the storage basket attached to the side. As your family grows, the stroller can be converted into a double stroller. In duo mode, the seats can easily be arranged with one child in sight-seeing mode while the other faces mom or dad. This allows your kids to interact with one another, encouraging bonding and closeness. In twin mode, bassinets can be attached side by side, allowing you to keep both babies nice and close. Additionally, adapters can be purchased to enable you to attach your infant car seat to the stroller frame.
Folding Your Stroller
The Bugaboo Donkey 5 can be easily folded with the bassinet and basket attached, or in a compact fold with the seats removed. To fold, lift up the white latches on the side of the handlebars and push the handlebar down to the lowest position. Lock the handlebar in the folded position by latching the white locks. Adjust the seat or bassinet frame so that it is parallel to the handlebar frame. Push the black security lock on the side of the handlebars while pulling the white triggers up. Pull on the center bar to bring your stroller to a standing fold.
