The Nuna Rava: A Car Seat Fit for the Pickiest Riders

The Nuna Rava: A Car Seat Fit for the Pickiest Riders

Do you want to know something that I completely took for granted prior to becoming a parent? Long drives without children. Actually any drive without children. I mean, I completely love my two girls BUT it sure was nice to not have someone screaming about wanting to listen to the Aristocats or get out of their car seat. Don't you miss grown-up music sometimes too?!

My first daughter HATED her infant car seat. She screamed like death every time she was in it. From the day we brought her home from the hospital, she has been a mover and a shaker, and her car seat just didn't allow enough of that I guess. Fast forward almost three years from her being in her infant seat to now; I have a newborn in an infant seat again! Despite my best hopes and wishes, she doesn't love her car seat either. We even bought a brand new car seat this time around. What gives right?

With our first daughter, we had enough by eight months. We just couldn't make one more three-hour trip to see our families with a baby screaming her head off in the back seat (yes, she cried the whole way or most of the way ALL the time.) So, it was time to upgrade to a convertible car seat! I'm honestly not sure why we didn't do it sooner since most convertibles are suitable for infants these days. Just living and learning!

Prior to buying our infant seat, I had done a serious amount of research and had a very strong opinion about what I wanted. I wasn't sold completely on a convertible seat yet, but I was sold on the features that I wanted in that seat; a sturdy frame with awesome side impact protection, hassle-free installation, soft and comfy for my girl, and something easy to clean. The Rava checks everything and more off of that list!

You can use Nuna's Rava seat from 5 pounds all the way up to 65 pounds AND you can keep your child rear facing until 50 pounds which is so amazing when talking about car seat safety! The frame on the Rava is steel reinforced, the fabrics are a beautiful breathable knit, and the seat pad is machine washable!

If you want to put a convertible seat to the true test, plop your car seat hating child into it and strap them in! My little lady absolutely LOVED being in her big car seat. She would drape her legs over either side and turn her head from side to side like she couldn't believe she had so much space!

Obviously, the first reason you should purchase a car seat is for the safety features to protect your precious little person! But when a seat comes packed with those features, along with a load of comfort features, and is good looking too? Now that is what I call the total car seat package my friends, and Nuna sure knows how to deliver a total car seat package!
